Difference between VPS and dedicated server

Submitted by Online Earning on Tuesday, 29 December 200916 Comments

Virtual private server (VPS) stand for Virtual Dedicated Server is a method of splitting a server while the dedicated server is a single computer in a network reserved for serving the needs of the network.

The differences betweent VPS and dedicated server are:

First, you can understand the VPS as a shared server. You just have root access to a virtual server on the machine. The dedicated server is a server you have full root access to and share resources with no one.

Second, a vps is a dedicated servers divided into parts. That’s mean if a hosting with a 500G space or RAM, and it has 5 vps then each vps will be given 100GB space or ram. So you will have 5 vps however, the dedicated server will be one hosting with 500GB.

Third, a vps web hosting still limited your site CPU usage, usually not more than 25% of the CPU for longer than 90 seconds.
