Twitter officially announced that to get it’s own URL Shortener service for security reason. This is a major advance against phishing and other attacks.

A couple weeks ago, twitter was attacked by direct message. So, I am glad when hearing the great news. This mean twitter has made one big step forward in protecting the quality twitter clients away from spams. As before, twitter can only detect those scam messages after malicious links have already been sent out. The twitter own URL shortener can solve this problem thoroughly.

On the other hands, to use a third party site in order to get a shorten URL actually a little annoying, so i think this is also a positive move.

But how are twitter going to detect if a link is bad or not still a mystery, please take our feed for further revealed.
